A party of international visitors, invited by AHDB, took part in the biennial Sheep Event held at the Three Counties Show Ground, Malvern.
On the first day, the representatives visited high performing sheep farms and, on the second day, they witnessed the whole programme of events at the show.
The event attracted more than 70 official international visitors from seven countries including major delegations from France and Germany.
The technical event organised by the National Sheep Association attracted an estimated 10,000 visitors.
Head of Exports for AHDB Beef and Lamb Jean-Pierre Garnier said: “Although the main objective of these missions is to promote the excellence of British ovine genetics as part of our programme of export marketing, we are also keen to showcase the British sheep sector as a competitive, dynamic and innovative industry with sustainability at its core.
“In addition, we aim to build bridges with European producers who share similar issues. In particular, our message to our friends from Continental Europe is BAU: Business As Usual.
“Our visitors were suitably impressed by the vibrancy of the event and the high level of innovation in the sector. The Sheep Event is certainly unique in Europe for its scope and attendance.”
