Minimising carcase losses in the lamb supply chain – Suffolk
July 12 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join AHDB Beef & Lamb and the National Sheep Association (NSA) to find out more about minimising carcase losses in lambs.
With increasingly tight financial margins in lamb production and processing, it is vital to minimise losses throughout the supply chain. Farmers can maximise their financial returns by meeting target carcase specifications and minimising the losses of saleable meat and offal. Conditions such as liver fluke, pasteurella and parasitic worms not only cause rejection of offal and carcases at slaughter, but have a significant impact on the performance of growing lambs.
