Challenge Sheep Meeting – Investigating and supplementing trace elements in ewe flocks – Salisbury

This event will focus on Rob and Anna Hawke’s Romney flock and their Challenge Sheep involvement. Discussion will centre around trace element supplementation on commercial sheep flocks and the importance of understanding your farms status. There will also be the opportunity to look at an approach to investigating trace element deficiencies.

12:15pm – The importance of a thorough understanding of supplementation on farm – Peter Bone, Trace Element Consultant

12:30pm – A review of the major trace elements in sheep and their impact on commercial flocks – Peter Bone and Emily Gascoigne

1:30pm – Light lunch

2:00pm –  How to investigate trace element deficiencies on farms including samples for collection, trace element audits on farm and options for supplementation – Peter Bone and Emily Gascoigne

2:45pm – Q & A, details of next Challenge Sheep Meeting.
