Beef Cattle Nutrition Workshop – Old Dalby
December 5, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pmFree
Feeding management of beef cattle can be divided into the three main stages of rearing, growing and finishing. Each phase requires different ration specifications according to cattle type and target growth rates.
Join AHDB Beef & Lamb for this event where the different requirements of the growing and finishing stages of an animal’s life will be discussed, with the clear aim of meeting market specification and generating profit.
The event is kindly being hosted by Andrew Bowley of Old Hall Farm who recently featured in Farmers Weekly. The 300 head unit has managed to reduce finishing time and increase daily liveweight gain during the finishing period by installing a pressurised ventilation system. During the event there will be an opportunity to view the new ventilation system, as well as assess current feeding management practices.
